Honoring Florence Glaze

The name "Glaze" is a direct tribute to a remarkable woman, Florence Glaze. In 1967, she broke barriers by establishing Glaze Tire in Buford, Georgia, becoming one of the very first women to own and operate a tire store in the region. For decades, she was a cornerstone of the community, universally known for her profound kindness, relentless work ethic, and distinct generosity. Though the doors to Glaze Tire closed a few years after her passing, the values she championed left an indelible mark.

Continuing the Legacy

Today, based out of Gainesville, we are proud to carry that torch forward into the home improvement industry. Glaze Flooring & Tile was founded to honor her memory by bringing those same timeless principles into your home or business.
